“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered.”

Dr. Sproch is currently completing intensive training through the Center for Prolonged Grief to best support patients that are experiencing the painful emotions, thoughts, and behaviors associated with grief. Using a prolonged grief disorder therapy approach, Dr. Sproch typically gently guides patients by focusing sequentially on seven healing milestones: understanding and accepting grief, managing emotional pain, seeing a future with promise, strengthening relationships, telling the story of the death, living with reminders, and feeling connected with memories. Grief treatment is gentle, warm, and compassion and is designed to meet you where you are at with your grief process, recognizing that everyone responds to grief in their own ways that we accept without judgment.
